Pastor Bill and Shari Wenig
Pastor Bill Wenig has lived in Iowa most of his life and grew up in a minister’s home. He is thankful for his great Christian heritage and was called to the ministry at a young age. He is a graduate of Burlington High School and North Central University with a B.S. in Pastoral Studies. Before coming to Glad Tidings Assembly in the fall of 2008 he served in 4 other Iowa A/G churches: Council Bluffs, Burlington, Mt. Pleasant, and Carroll. Hunting and basketball are some of his favorite past-times.
He and his wife Shari were married in 1983 and have 2 children and 4 grandchildren: Their son Dan and wife Rachael and grandchildren Levi, Norah,Grace and Isaac . Dan is a Crossfit trainer and is an Iron Man Participant in Brookfield, WI. Their daughter Erica lives and works in Washington DC.
Shari is originally from South Dakota and grew up in a ministry family as well. She has a B.A. in Elementary Education from Buena Vista College. She is a Certified Minister with the Assemblies of God and enjoys teaching and also ministering on the worship team.
The Wenigs love their church family and anticipate even greater things at Glad Tidings Assembly!
Pastor Mallory And Noah McMullen
Pastor Mallory McMullen grew up in Des Moines, IA and received the call to full time ministry when she was sixteen years old. After high school, she moved to the country of Nicaragua to serve in a program called ENGAGE. After serving the people of Nicaragua for a year and a half, she finished her associates degree at DMACC and headed to Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, Texas. In the spring of 2018 she received her bachelor's degree in Children and Family Ministry with a minor in Bible.
Noah grew up in Earlham, Iowa and graduated from Urbandale High School. Noah and Mallory attended the same high school and were best friends but went their separate ways afterwards. Noah joined the Iowa Army National Guard after high school and later graduated with his associates degree from DMACC. Noah is pursuing his bachelor’s degree for Criminal Justice at Iowa State University.
Noah and Mallory got married in 2019 and their desire is to see children grow in their relationships with God and learn the aspects of serving others.
